Lean Construction 4.0 – Reshaping the Management of Projects in the AEC industry
Join Lean Construction ANZ for a webinar Panel on Lean Construction 4.0 – Reshaping the Management of Projects in the AEC industry.
Join three Lean practitioners from across the world in a new look at how Lean Construction is changing construction for the better.
Dr Vicente Gonzalez from the University of Auckland will speak on the motivation and the why of Lean Construction 4.0, the will be joined by Prof. Luis Fernando Alarcón from the Catholic University of Chile to speak on the Impact on industry and academia, before Dr. Farook Hamzeh from the University of Alberta, Canada to speak finally on the a vision of the future with Lean Construction 4.0.
Our speakers are keen to conduct live Q&A during their webinar, so please feel free to email any questions you want in advance to admin@leanconstructionanz.org, and of course we will attempt to answer all questions on the day as well.
The advent of the “fourth industrial revolution” or Industry 4.0 is reshaping the manufacturing sector, and in turn, it has started to influence the architecture-engineering-construction (AEC) industry. We believe that for Lean Construction to keep evolving and serving the AEC industry, it must embrace the changes propelled by Industry 4.0, but maintain the people-processes-technology triad at its core. We argue that a shift towards Lean Construction 4.0 is needed, paying attention to the synergies between production management theory and digital/smart technologies.
In this webinar, we discuss the challenges of adopting Industry 4.0 in the AEC industry and the role that Lean Construction can have for an effective uptake. We will also advance some of our reflections on the Lean Construction 4.0 book that we will publish in 2022 through Taylor & Francis.
