Reimagining lean construction as a culture of problem solving—not tools
Join Lean Construction ANZ for a webinar on reimagining lean construction as a culture of problem solving—not tools.
This session Marton Marosszeky from Marosszeky Associates will present his understanding of lean as a culture of problem solving. Because lean is often presented through a talk on one tool or another, many people misconstrue lean as a set of tools. Everyone uses tools, and many great lean tools have been developed, but these do not define lean. The full potential of lean can only be realised when it is seen as an organisational philosophy in which the focus is value creation through problem solving. Marton will touch on the following themes; the challenges of teaching people to see (errors), and then he will talk about different types of problems and different types of solutions. Marton sees the keystone challenge in construction as the creation of a vitalised culture across its supply chains, capable of surfacing and solving problems.
